Elks Donate to K9s for Camo

At the recent Veterans Appreciation Thanksgiving Dinner, the Christian County Elks #2777 made a special donation to Dr. Loren Lundstrom of K9s for Camo. Dr. Lundstrom, an Air Force Veteran, spoke of the need for service dogs for veterans with PTSD. A key point to K9s for Camo is that these are rescue dogs trained by prisoners through an inmate rehabilitation program. Over 20 veterans commit suicide every day. One is too many. The Christian County Elks made a donation of $500 to K9s for Camo in their ongoing commitment to support our veterans and our community. Exalted Ruler and President of the Lodge, Scotty Butler, and Leading Knight, Charlie Falzone, made the check presentation with over 150 in attendance including 59 Veterans.
