In November, Christian County Elks 2777 hosted An Evening of Recognition. Two Eagle Scouts, Gavin Reese, and Ethan Frye from Troop 201 were honored for their dedication to Scouting with multiple Recognition Certificates. As a partnership, the scouts have managed multiple projects around our Lodge from enhancing our outdoor firepit area to helping with a retaining wall and fence. The Eagle Scout candidate will make a formal presentation to the Lodge outlining their project. If approved, the Elks then donate to the project. After dinner, the Christian County Elks presented Elks Eagle Scout Achievement Certificates by Scout Leader and Loyal Knight Michael Sweet. Then Missouri Elks President Elect, Steve Green, presented Eagle Scout Achievement Certificates from Grand Exalted Ruler, T. Keith Mills. Scout Leader and Elk, Jason Factor, pinned each Eagle Scout with Grand Lodge Eagle Scout Feather and rounding out the honors State Representative for the 140^th District, Tricia Derges, presented each Eagle Scout a State of Missouri Resolution recognizing their achievements. Topping off the evening, Tricia presented Past State President, Tom Shelton, with a State of Missouri Community Lifetime Achievement Resolution for his contribution to the community thru the Elks.
