For many years, the Christian County Elks #2777 have hosted veterans from the community for Thanksgiving dinner at the Lodge. But this year due to COVID-19 the veterans are prevented from visiting the Lodge for dinner. The Elks could not let a veteran’s holiday dinner go unnoticed.  The Elks hosted Carrie Crease from the Missouri Veteran’s Home Assistance League for Friday Night Dinner and presented her a check for $500.  The donation will support the Mt. Vernon Veteran’s Christmas Dinner for this year. Carrie is joined by Exalted Ruler, Charles Falzone (left) and Christian County Elks Veterans Chairman Denny Peterson.
