4th Annual Elks Car Show

Christian County Elks Host 4th Annual Car Show to Benefit Kids’ Back-to-School Needs

The Christian County Elks held their 4th Annual Car Show on Saturday, part of the Sertoma Club Duck Race Festival, drawing a strong community turnout and a stunning display of over 50 cars, trucks, Jeeps, and motorcycles. The event, which took place from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Finley River Park in Ozark, was blessed with beautiful blue skies and sunshine — though the temperature leaned on the warm side.

The show was more than just an exhibition of classic and custom vehicles; it was a heartfelt fundraiser for the Elks Charity’s Back-to-School Shopping Program. This initiative provides local children with school clothes and shoes for the upcoming academic year. Thanks to generous support from attendees and participants, over $1,000 was raised and will go directly toward shopping trips at the Nixa and Ozark Walmart stores in July and August.

The highlight of the event was the trophy presentation at 2:30 p.m., where Best in Show honors were awarded to Chuck Veith for his immaculate 1979 Chevrolet C-10, a definite crowd favorite. Special thanks to Elks Cheri and Joe Edwards for entering their three cars: “Lucille”, 1956 Cadillac Coupe de Ville, “Aunt Nez”, 1964 Chevrolet Impala and “Buttercup”, 1966 Ford Mustang.

The car show was held in partnership with the Sertoma Club’s Duck Race Festival, which also took place in Finley River Park on June 21. The combination of fun, fellowship, and charity made for a memorable day in the community.

The Christian County Elks thank all the participants, spectators, and volunteers who made this event possible and helped support local kids as they head back to school with confidence and a smile.
