A Job Well Done, Brendan Factor!
Christian County Elks Lodge #2777 Honors Eagle Scout Project
Christian County Elks Lodge #2777 would like to extend a heartfelt CONGRATULATIONS and THANK YOU to Scout Brendan Factor for the outstanding American Flag Retirement Box he handcrafted as part of his final Eagle Scout project!
Our Lodge proudly donated $500 to help Brendan get his project started, and WOW, what a project it turned out to be! This is not just an ordinary wooden box. It is a beautiful piece of fine walnut furniture, crafted with incredible skill, care, and attention to detail. It is truly a work of art that will proudly serve our Lodge and community for decades to come.
Brendan shared that the project took over 140 hours to complete, with the help and support of several wonderful people, including his mom and dad, fellow Scout Henry Hicks, woodworker Mark Hicks, and Sherry Leis. Their time, dedication, and teamwork helped bring this remarkable project to life.

The Flag Retirement Box is already serving its purpose, with worn and tattered American flags being respectfully collected inside. Each June, the Scouts join the Elks in celebrating Flag Day, followed by a solemn Flag Retirement Ceremony. During this meaningful tradition, the collected flags are respectfully and honorably retired by fire, in keeping with the dignity and respect our nation’s flag deserves.
Brendan, you have created something truly special! Your hard work, craftsmanship, patriotism, and dedication to service reflect the very best of Scouting and the values we hold dear as Elks.
On behalf of all the members of Christian County Elks Lodge #2777, we congratulate you on this outstanding accomplishment and thank you for leaving our Lodge with such a beautiful and lasting gift.
THANK YOU, BRENDAN! JOB WELL DONE!
